Let us help answer the most common questions you might have.
A pipeline streams data from a data source (e.g., a MySQL table) to a data sink (e.g., an Elasticsearch index) and can transform the data on the way.
We charge you depending on your plan and the number of pipelines created. For instance, if you use the plan Developer and create three pipelines, we will charge you 87 EUR per month.
The free trial provides you with complete access to all features of the DataCater platform for up to 14 days. After the trial period, you will have to switch to our paid plan. If you don't, your access will be deactivated and your data will be removed.

We deliver DataCater as a Docker® image using our private Docker® registry and offer Helm Charts for installing DataCater on Kubernetes. We're here to help you install DataCater and integrate it into your existing architecture.
We try to keep the list of available connectors up-to-date. Since we build on top of Apache Kafka Connect® for implementing connectors, we can easily integrate existing Apache Kafka Connect® connectors, which are not (yet) listed on our website, or develop new ones.
We make monthly releases. We typically provide a new release on the first working day of the month.
DataCater is based on Apache Kafka®, Apache Kafka Connect®, and Apache Kafka Streams®. If you do not yet employ Apache Kafka®, we can help you get started. For the deployment of pipelines, DataCater uses Docker® or Kubernetes®.
